Due to FIFA 22 Career Mode’s heavy emphasis on speed being the most consistent requirement for success, it is important that your defenders are able to keep up with the oppositions’ pacey strikers. As a result, having fast centre backs is the best way to counteract the many opponents’ game plans.

This article will be looking at the fastest centre backs on FIFA 22’s Career Mode, with Jeremiah St. Juste, Tyler Magloire, and Jetmir Haliti taking the top spots.

In order to be on this list, players need ratings of at least 72 sprint speed and 72 acceleration, and their main position needs to be centre back. Eligible players have then been sorted by their sprint speed rating on FIFA 22.

Not only is St. Juste the fastest centre back on FIFA 22, he also has impressive stats for defending, too, with 85 jumping, 80 interceptions, 79 defensive awareness, 78 standing tackle, and 76 sliding tackle. On top of that, the Dutch centre back has an 80 potential rating, and given that he is just 24 years old, he should be able to improve his stats and go close to fulfilling that potential.

Having joined his current club FSV Mainz 05 from Feyenoord in the summer of 2019, St. Juste has gone on to represent the Karnevalsverein 66 times, scoring three goals and assisting the same number for the club.

The Swedish born centre back, who plays internationally for Kosovo, plays his domestic football in the Swedish first division for AIK, with whom he signed a contract at the beginning of this year.

With 83 interceptions, 83 defensive awareness, 83 strength, 78 standing tackle, and 74 sliding tackle, Lacroix is the highest rated and most complete defender on this list. A potential ability rating of 86 makes him a must-have on your FIFA 22 Career Mode.

Lacroix plays his football for VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga and is seen as an indispensable member of the team, which sits third in the league at the time of writing. Yet to earn his first senior cap for France, Lacroix will be hoping to catch the eye of head coach Didier Deschamps in the near future.

Takuma Ominami (87 Pace, 64 OVR)
