A winger who can break the lines, bomb up and down the wing, and contribute with goals and assists is every manager and FIFA 21 player’s dream – particularly if they are young enough to represent a long-term option for your side.
Indeed, whether you are seeking promotion, a first title, or European glory, a talented winger is certain to make a real difference to your season. On this page, you’ll find all of the best right wing wonderkids to sign in Career Mode.
Choosing FIFA 21 Career Mode’s best wonderkid right wingers (RW & RM)
One of the most important things to consider when looking to buy a young right winger is their potential rating. So, we have compiled a list of all of the best RW and RM players aged 21 or under with a potential overall rating of at least 80.
We’ve included players who are out on-loan for the 2020/21 season, so keep in mind that you won’t be able to discuss a move for them until later in Career Mode.
In this article, you will find the five best young right wingers, a detailed analysis of their strengths and weaknesses, and a full list of all of the best wonderkid right wingers (RW and RM) – which can be found at the foot of the article.
Jadon Sancho (OVR 87 – POT 93)

Team: Borussia Dortmund
Best Position: RM
Age: 20
Overall/Potential: 87 OVR / 93 POT
Value: £111.5M
Wage: £73K a week
Best Attributes: 92 Dribbling, 91 Agility, 91 Ball Control
It is hard to think of a player in world football who is attracting more attention than Jadon Sancho. The Englishman, who got his start in Manchester City’s academy before joining German giants Borussia Dortmund, has already established himself as one of the best wingers in Europe.
He had another excellent campaign in 2019/20, netting 17 goals and 17 assists in the Bundesliga as Dortmund finished runners-up, once again, to Bayern Munich.
That impressive year has seen Sancho awarded an 87 OVR rating in FIFA 21, with the highlight ratings being his 92 dribbling, 91 agility, and 91 ball control. He is quick, decisive, and deadly when going forward.
He also has the highest potential rating in the game at 93 OVR. Unsurprisingly then, as Manchester United found, it’ll take a hefty fee to prise the Englishman away from Borussia Dortmund.
Francisco Trincão (OVR 78 – POT 91)

Team: FC Barcelona
Best Position: RW
Age: 20
Overall/Potential: 78 OVR / 91 POT
Value: £30.5M
Wage: £93K a week
Best Attributes: 85 Dribbling, 84 Composure, 84 Curve
The first of two entries on this list from La Liga is Barcelona winger Francisco Trincão, who signed for the Catalan club from Portuguese side Braga this summer. Last season, which was his first playing for the Braga first-team, saw him make a solid return of eight goals and eight assists in 27 Liga NOS outings.
Now, however, he will face the daunting challenge of attempting to break into the first-team at Barcelona. Still, there isn’t any doubt that the Portuguese wonderkid has quality.
Trincão is very good with the ball at his feet, which is reflected in his 85 dribbling and 84 composure, while his 84 curve should make him effective when taking free-kicks and going for finesse shots.
Trincão has only just joined the Blaugrana, as such, he is likely to prove expensive if you want to add him to your side. That said, his considerable potential should make the initial expense worthwhile.
Rodrygo (OVR 79 – POT 90)

Team: Real Madrid
Best Position: RW
Age: 19
Overall/Potential: 79 OVR / 90 POT
Value (Release Clause): £34M (£76.5M)
Wage: £81K a week
Best Attributes: 88 Acceleration, 87 Agility, 86 Sprint Speed
The second La Liga starlet to make our list is the Brazilian winger Rodrygo. The Osasco-native, who joined Los Blancos last summer from Santos, enjoyed a memorable debut, scoring within a minute of coming off of the bench against CA Osasuna.
He went on to make a further 19 appearances for Real Madrid in the league, adding one more goal to his tally. He also went on to net a hat-trick in a 6-0 win against Galatasaray in the Champions League group stage.
The Brazilian has pace to burn, with his 88 acceleration, 87 agility, and 86 sprint speed ensuring that the teenager would be a real asset for sides who look to play on the counter. Unlike Sancho and Trincão, Rodrygo has a release clause in his contract.
At £76.5 million, the release clause is a steep price to pay for a player with only a handful of first-team appearances in Europe to his name. Still, Rodrygo has significant scope to improve and he is certainly a player to consider if you are searching for a pacey winger.
Mason Greenwood (OVR 77 – POT 89)

Team: Manchester United
Best Position: RM
Age: 19
Overall/Potential: 77 OVR / 89 POT
Value: £22M
Wage: £29K a week
Best Attributes: 82 Sprint Speed, 82 Shot Power, 80 Long Shots
Results have not lived up to the expectations at Manchester United in recent years. Although the Red Devils have at least managed to return to the Champions League, there is little evidence to suggest that they can muster a challenge for the title, even in what promises to be an unpredictable season.
One player who could take Manchester United back to the top of the pile in England and Europe, though, is Mason Greenwood. The 18-year-old, who has been part of the United set-up since 2007, made his Premier League debut in the 2018/19 season before establishing himself as a first-team regular last year.
It was a memorable campaign for the Bradford-born Greenwood, who scored ten goals and registered one assist in 31 Premier League appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s side.
The Englishman isn’t as quick as Rodrygo, with his 82 sprint speed being relatively low for a winger, but he has a cannon of a shot, which is reflected in his 82 shot power. Furthermore, his 80 long shots means that he will be able to test opposition keepers from distance.
Greenwood is also relatively affordable, with a transfer value of £22 million and wages of £29,000 per week. For players seeking a Premier League-proven winger with high potential, Greenwood should be at the top of your shortlist.
Ferran Torres (OVR 81 – POT 89)

Team: Manchester City
Best Position: RM
Age: 20
Overall/Potential: 81 OVR / 89 POT
Value (Release Clause): £51M (£104.5M)
Wage: £87K a week
Best Attributes: 88 Acceleration, 86 Vision, 82 Composure
The last player on our list is Spanish international Ferran Torres, who joined Manchester City from his boyhood club Valencia this summer. Torres, who had been a first-team regular for Valencia in recent seasons, mustered four goals and five assists in La Liga last term.
Like Rodrygo, Torres has plenty of speed. His 88 acceleration means that he is particularly quick off the mark, which should enable him to beat his man more often than not – but there is more to Torres’ game than just pace. His 86 vision and 82 composure make the Spaniard a useful creative outlet and a potential goal threat.
Unfortunately, he will not be available on the cheap. Manchester City took advantage of Valencia’s financial troubles to sign Torres for the relatively inexpensive fee of £20.9 million, but City have inserted a release clause of £104.5 million into his contract. If you can afford him, Torres would almost certainly make a valuable addition to your squad.
