So, sorted in order of the worst to the not-so-worst, here are the lowest-rated teams on FIFA 22.

What are the worst teams in FIFA 22?

1. Longford Town (55 OVR)

Longford Town are the worst team in FIFA 22 and have the lowest overall rating (55 OVR). The newly promoted team play their football in the Irish Premier Division. Club captain Dean Zambra led the club back into the first tier of Irish football after a four-year hiatus.

In the team, you will find the joint highest-rated players to be left back Paddy Kirk and Aaron O’Driscoll, an on-loan centre back from Mansfield Town. Other notable players include 21-year-old on-loan striker Dean Williams and first-choice goalkeeper Lee Steacy (57 OVR).

Go for a 4-2-3-1 wide formation and use the attacking option that gives you a flat defensive line, allowing you to siege the opposing defence whilst not leaving your slow defenders exposed at the back. Whilst being vulnerable to long balls in behind, and having lots of gaps in midfield, keep your players tight in formation to limit the chance of the opposition, exploiting this vulnerability in FIFA 22.

5. SC East Bengal FC (OVR: 57)

Spanish striker Aridai (70 OVR) is the star of the team, with 93 agility, 94 balance, and 80 sprint speed. The 5’6” player also has the Acrobat trait, which could produce some unexpected, elaborate over-head kicks. Utilising this natural goalscorer will be your best bet of winning whilst using Odisha FC.

For the best results with this team, use a 4-4-1-1 formation. This will allow you to have a chance at dealing with teams attacking from the centre; the added protection from the midfielders and the licence for Krasniqi to be more creative will increase your chances of success.

7. Derry City (58 OVR)

Whilst there aren’t any stand-out players, on-loan central midfielder Bastien Héry and left back Daniel Lafferty are the highest-rated players at the club on FIFA 22. Otherwise, on-loan striker Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe and 25-year-old James Akintunde offer good options up front, both possessing decent speed.

To play successfully with the least-worst team on this list, Derry, you will need to utilise the speed that you have at the top whilst also keeping your shape around the park.
