FIFA 21: Best 4 Star Teams to Play With

Take a look at ALL the best 4 star teams in FIFA 21.

Understandably, some players are bored of using powerhouses like Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City. Using four-star teams to test your skills instead can help improve your abilities on FIFA, as well as educating you on clubs you may not know a great deal about.

In FIFA 21, there will be 57 teams with a four-star rating, including clubs from England, Germany, the Netherlands and France. Below are five of the highest-rated four-star teams, whilst in the table located at the foot of the article is a wider range of four-star teams in the game.

Olympique de Marseille (Team Total: 78)

Attack: 81
Midfield: 78
Defence: 77
Total: 78
Best Player: Steve Mandanda (OVR: 83)

Although none have been able to truly challenge Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1, Olympique de Marseille gave a good account of themselves in a shortened 19/20 season. In their first season under Andre Villas-Boas, Marseille finished second behind the Parisians. That was their best finish in the league since the 2012/13 season, when they were also runners-up.

With Marseille hoping to take the fight to PSG once more, they have brought in numerous reinforcements, albeit on a budget. Japanese international Yuto Nagatomo arrived on a free from Galatasaray, whilst Álvaro González and Leonardo Balerdi (loan) joined from Villarreal and Borussia Dortmund respectively.

Villas-Boas also added the talented Pape Gueye from Le Havre in midfield. But what makes Marseille a really worthwhile selection on FIFA 21 is their strength in depth in goal and their strong attack. Dmitri Payet and Florian Thauvin will be your main outlets in attack, with Payet excelling at set-pieces.

Olympique Lyonnais (Team Total: 78)

Attack: 81
Midfield: 77
Defence: 76
Total: 78
Best Player: Memphis Depay (OVR: 85)

The second Ligue 1 side to feature as one of the top four star teams in FIFA 21 are Olympique Lyonnais. Rudi Garcia, who joined from Marseille last season, had a difficult first campaign at Lyon with his team finishing seventh in the abbreviated season.

That was the clubs worst finish in Ligue 1 in 25 years, but they did reach the semifinals in  the Champions League. Lyon also haven’t been afraid to open the chequebook in pursuit of a return to European football.

Lucas Paquetá is a big-money signing from AC Milan, whilst Karl Toko Ekambi who joined from Villarreal, offers depth in the attacking positions. Nine players did exit Lyon, however, with Bertrand Traoré earning a big-money move to Aston Villa. Memphis Depay and Houssem Aouar could also end up being lured away.

Still Lyon have plenty of quick players, making them a good side to use. Up front, even if Depay departs, you will have the use of Moussa Dembélé, who managed 16 goals in 27 appearances last season. At 24, he still has plenty of time to improve and would be an excellent player to build a squad around in career mode.

Roma (Team Total: 78)

Attack: 80
Midfield: 77
Defence: 74
Total: 78
Best Player: Edin Džeko (OVR: 83)

Although they are not being licensed in this season’s game, Roma are an interesting option for you to choose in FIFA 21. Last season, Roma couldn’t keep up with their neighbours Lazio, finishing a disappointing fifth in the league having never threatened to challenge for the title.

Roma have also lost a number of players this window, with Patrik Schick, who spent last season on loan in Leipzig, leaving for Bayer Leverkusen after struggling to cement a place in the team. Turkey midfielder has left on loan to Leicester City, whilst the veteran Aleksandar Kolarov has joined Serie A rivals Inter Milan.

But Paulo Fonseca’s side have a number of talented young players, as well as some experienced heads, particularly in attack. The likes of Justin Kluivert and Nicolo Zaniolo are complimented by Pedro and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, giving you a variety of options to enjoy whilst playing as Roma.

West Ham United (Team Total: 78)

Attack: 79
Midfield: 78
Defence: 76
Total: 78
Best Player: Łukasz Fabiański (OVR: 81)

The only Premier League side to feature amongst the top four-star teams are West Ham United. In 2019/20, the Hammers had another below-par season, one that very nearly ended in relegation to the Championship.

But David Moyes, who returned for a second stint with the club mid-season kept the Londoners up thanks to a late run of results. Unfortunately for West Ham, due to the coronavirus pandemic, bringing in new talent has been difficult.

But they have managed to secure the services of Vladimir Coufal and Thomas Soucek, both of whom joined from Slavia Prague. The loss of Grady Diangana, who departed for West Bromwich Albion was a blow, however, with the 22-year-old highly rated by many at the club, including captain Mark Noble.

In truth, West Ham are perhaps slightly overrated. For a side that has signally failed to break free of mid-table mediocrity, it is hard to understand how they are rated as better than the likes of Wolves, who have finished above them in the last two seasons.

But the Hammers do have a solid midfield and a strong target man in Sebastian Haller, which makes them a useful side for players who prefer a direct approach, featuring plenty of balls delivered into the box for the Frenchman to attack.

Ajax  (Team Total: 78)

Attack: 79
Midfield: 77
Defence: 78
Total: 78
Best Player: Nicolás Tagliafico (OVR: 84)

Ajax have more than earned their place on this list. Their ability to develop players in the academy to eventually sell for a profit has allowed the Amsterdam side to continue investing and improving their squad. Last season, Ajax were tied with AZ Alkmaar when the season was cancelled after 24 match days.

Over the transfer window, Ajax have cashed in on the likes of Donny van de Beek (Manchester United), Hakim Ziyech (Chelsea) and Sergińo Dest (Barcelona), but that will not concern the club’s hierarchy unduly. They have consistently managed to replace players with hidden gems in their academy.

Ajax have also signed Brazilian forward Antony from Sao Paulo, who has netted twice already this season. Mohammed Kudus, who joined from FC Nordsjælland, looks an interesting player. He is currently out injured, but should have plenty of room to develop within the Ajax set-up.

Energetic, talented and quick. That is what defines Ajax. David Neres and Quincy Promes are lightning quick and will burn full-backs who play in a high line. Dusan Tadic has been reborn since joining from Southampton, pulling the strings in midfield and linking up the midfield with the forwards.
